Constructivism Overview
Strengths and Limitations
Week 4
Overview
This week, we learned about Constructivism as a learning theory, its implications and contributions to learning, and the instructional design field.

Strengths
Individual experiences and social interactions are pivotal for learning. The learner actively engages mentally and learns with little to minimal support, depending on each individual's ZPD. The teacher or more knowledgeable person acts as a facilitator or guide, providing fading support depending on the learner's skill set and learning style.

Limitations
It focuses on each individual's point of view through subjective experiences and their interpretations of a possible shared experience. It does not provide a highly structured or traditional learning environment.
